Extended Radio Silence - ending in Q3 2012

To anyone who's still following any of my public works - FastFormat, Pantheios, STLSoft, Breaking Up The Monolith, Quality Matters, VOLE, etc. - and wondering whether these activities are permanently moribund, I want to let you know that I'll soon be free of a very intense and overwhelmingly consuming commercial engagement over the last 2.5 years, and the second half of this year should see much activity in open-source, commercial, and writing activities.

Cheers

Matt

  1. Hi Matthew,

I have noticed, http://www.fastformat.org/ went offline recently. Any plans to bring it back online?

  2. Hi Mat

Yes, someone else pointed it out some time ago, and I thought I'd effected a fix over the weekend, but either it's taking its sweet time propagating, or I did something wrong.

Fortunately, I'm meeting today with the person who's been rewriting the FF website for me (lack of time and talent on my part ;-) and I hope that (i) we can fix the server issues today, and (ii) we can have the new site up very soon.

I'm still super busy, but might be able to even get a new release - with I18N formatting (e.g. thousands commas) for numbers - sometime in next few weeks, before the super crazy time I'm expecting in July.

    Cheers

    Matt

P.S. Thanks for sustaining sufficient interest to comment. Hopefully I can pay you, and the various other still-interested people, back in the second half of the year. :-)
